Join us, won’t you? Artists Sally Buck, Torrie Groening and Francesca Pastine are displaying art outdoors, and will be there onsite for two afternoons of tours and conversations this weekend.
This temporary exhibition, 12 noon – 5pm each day, allows viewers an intimate glimpse of the Artists-in-Residence projects at Churchland Studios.

Mounted on the wooden fence surrounding the studio property, this giant, pop-up outdoor gallery can be seen within a one-block walk, or even from the comforts of your own car, scooter, skateboard, wheelchair or bike. Inspired by the Photoville FENCE project in the US and Alberta, this temporary project in Strathcona shares the same goal of creating an open-to-all viewing opportunity for contemporary photography.

Sally Buck’s photomontages of climate collisions juxtapose elements of natural beauty in surprising and challenging ways.

Torrie Groening’s new work features antique trophies, their fellowship celebrating our heroes and geniuses.

San Francisco artist Francesca Pastine creates luminous, geometric visions by combining images of jewels taken from ads in the New York Times, with saturated fields of watercolour painting.

This event is part of the Capture Photography Festival.

All aspects of this event will be outdoors, and follow covid-19 safety protocols:
Let’s physically distance 2 metres apart
